Reverend Michael Anthony Barclift

Pastor & First Lady Barclift

Rev. Dr. Michael Anthony (Hipp) Barclift, son of William Barclift Sr. and Rubell R. Barclift, was born November 2, 1965 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, where he attended Northeastern High School and was an outstanding basketball player. At the early age of sixteen years old, he accepted the Lord as his personal Savior.

He was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in December 2003. In November 2004, he was ordained by the Roanoke Missionary Baptist Association. In 2006, Dr. Barclift received a 3-year certificate in Religious Studies from the Shaw Divinity School at Roanoke Collegiate Institute. He also holds an Associate of Applied Science in Business Management from Bryant and Stratton in Virginia Beach, Virginia and an Associate of Applied Science in General Education from College of the Albemarle in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Rev. Barclift is currently attending Elizabeth City State University, where he earned a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Michael & Kim BarcliftManagement. In December 2012, he was awarded with an Honorary Doctorate Degree from St. Thomas Christian University of Jacksonville, Florida.

In 2008, Dr. Barclift was called to become the Pastor of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church.

Rev. Barclift serves on many local boards and serves in many volunteer and civics activities. He is a board member of the Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Public Schools Education Foundation, Police Athletic League and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. He also has won numerous awards such as: Outstanding Recreator of the Year, Special Olympic Coach of The Year, The Daily Advance Coach of the Year, Governor's Outstanding Volunteer Award, and the Omega Psi Phi Youth Award, just to name a few. Rev. Barclift is a 2014 graduate of Elizabeth City State University with a BS in Business Adminstration and has an Honorary Doctorate in Religious Studies. He was ordained on November 4, 2014 as a Senior Pastor and member of the Calvary Revival Churches Alliance by Bishop B. Courtney McBath.

He is married to the lovely Kimberly Colmore Barclift of Lynchburg, Virginia and to this union they were blessed with two daughters, Jessica and Amanda, and a grandson, Khairy.
